Keymer & Hassocks Mens Club
Its membership renewal time again folks. The membership was closed by the committee in September, at roughly 420, and we now have a queue of applicants forming, which will be processed in February. You have until January 31st to renew your membership, but we are taking subs for next year across the bar now. Simply pop the cash into an envelope addressed to the membership secretary and hand it in at the bar.
Membership fees have not changed from last year. They are £15.00 for full members, or £10.00 for pension-age full members and for associate members. All new members pay a £10.00 joining fee as well.
You have until midnight on January 31st, to get your subs in. If you fail to do so, you will be treated as a new member, which means that you will join the queue of those waiting to join, you will pay the joining up fee and, you never know, the Committee might decide not to let you back in.
On December 9th we will be looking to have as good a night, again following some great work from Bob. He has lined up a fantastic array of prizes and is busy planning what looks set to be another rousing success. Raffle tickets are already available behind the bar, while a block of five should have arrived with this newsletter. Please do your best to sell as many as you can.
New Year’s Eve celebrations
do, so please do your best to be at the Club on this special night.
Steve and Danica have also booked the same disco for Christmas Eve.
We are yet to decide extension times for the Christmas holidays. Notices will be put up in the Club nearer the time.
Goodbye to Dan
She has very generously given us some time to find her replacement and work is going on to do that at the moment. Thankfully she is an associate member of the Club so we will still see her, often with a bit of luck.
Danica’s hard work and dedication has been appreciated immensely and all members will be very sad to see her stop. She has been an extremely positive force in making this Club the success that it is today, working tirelessly to make events work, to give us the best kept beer in the area and to come up with initiatives to further improve the way the Club runs.
We will all miss being told off by her and no doubt sales of drinks at the bottom of the chiller cabinets will collapse. Please make sure you let her know how much you appreciate her efforts.
