10/11/2006 - Don't forget we will be running another quiz night on Saturday. This will be set by the Western Road Elite and follows the Smart family's very successful effort three to four weeks ago. There will be plenty of prizes on offer and the usual raffle.

We may be calling for volunteers to run the next quiz on Saturday 16th December. With our popular Christmas raffle set for December 9th and a Christmas Eve disco, the 16th is just about the only date we can aim for.

As stated above, the Christmas Raffle will be on December 9th. Tickets for the raffle will be sent out to members very shortly and there will also be plenty of tickets behind the bar in the Club. If you believe you can sell more than the usual five books we send out to members, please ask at the bar and we can give you more.

Please also write the Club into your diary for New Year's Eve. We have arranged the same disco as last year and we look forward to enjoying the same wide range of music. We will also have food available, so try not to eat too much before you come out.

Finally, I am afraid that Danica is leaving us. She has very generously allowed us some time to find a replacement and, as soon as we know we have one, I would like to arrange a bit of a send off for her. Her work at the Club has been superb and I know we all appreciate what she has done to lift the Club during her time with us. I am sure that we will all be very sad to see her move on and I hope that we keep seeing her in the Club on a regular basis.

12/10/2006 - Arthur Crisp, one of our founder members, has reached the milestone of his 100th birthday. As a part of his celebrations, he will be visiting the Club on the morning of Sunday October 15th, at 11.30 am. All members are welcome to join us in wishing him a happy birthday.
